Game Caracter Presentation

🔹 Port 5 Audit Character – Monthly Breakdown
For this month’s Port 5 audit, I focused on creating a new character from the ground up. It’s been a challenging yet rewarding journey, and I wanted to share a breakdown of my weekly progress:

🧠 Week 1 – Anatomy & Proportions I kicked things off by blocking out the character’s anatomy and refining proportions. There were definitely some bumps along the way, but thanks to some incredible critiques and support, I was able to push through and improve the foundational structure.

🧵 Week 2 – UVs & Retopology This week was all about technical refinement. I dove into UV mapping and retopology, learning not just the workflows but also how the character’s form supports movement and function. It was a great exercise in understanding how topology affects deformation and animation potential.

🎨 Week 3 – Texturing & Lighting Texturing and lighting proved to be the most challenging part of the process. Balancing material definition with mood and readability took some serious trial and error—but I made it through! I know this is an area I need to keep practicing, but I genuinely enjoyed the challenge.

This project pushed me in all the right ways—technically, creatively, and emotionally. I’m proud of the progress and excited to keep refining my skills. Thanks to everyone who offered feedback and encouragement along the way!
